Please contact us if you have any questions.

How do you make your tiles?

We would not want to give away all our secrets, but there are descriptions in a couple of books including The Tile by Kenneth Clark MBE and Handcrafted Ceramic Tiles by Mike Jones and Janis Fanning.

Angela also periodically teaches tile making courses at West Dean College.

How much do the tiles cost?

The Fruit & Vegetable tiles cost £14 each including shipping. There is no VAT to pay.

The small feature tiles (Amoeba, Heart, Star and Pattern) cost £5.30 each including shipping. There is no VAT to pay.

The mini veg tiles cost £5.30 each including shipping. There is no VAT to pay.

Other tiles are individually priced.

If you pay securely online you can choose pounds sterling, US dollars or euros. If you choose PayPal you can also pay in Canadian or Australian dollars or yen.

Non-sterling payments will be subject to the relevant exchange rate. Prices shown in non-sterling currencies are a rough guide only. Currency converter.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is now included in the price of our standard ranges. Please ask about shipping for the other tiles (Mosaish and Amoeba borders and special commissions).

Do you ship to the USA?

Yes. We ship to many parts of the world.

Is VAT included?

There is no VAT to add, but import duties may be payable in some countries.

How can I pay?

We can take credit and debit card payments for the Fruit & Vegetable, small feature tiles or mini veg tiles online or offline through a secure server, as well as cheques and money orders.

Payment for other tiles can be made by offline credit and debit card through a secure server, cheque or International Money Mover. Please contact us for details.

We are also members of the PayPal scheme.

How long does it take to deliver my tiles?

We will normally have Fruit & Vegetable, small feature tiles or mini veg tiles in stock to be sent on receipt of payment. If there is going to be a delay, we will inform you immediately.

Shipping time depends on the destination. It normally takes 5 to 10 working days, but we cannot guarantee this. Please contact us for details.

It is advisable to order your tiles well before you need them.

What size are the tiles?

The Fruit & Vegetable tiles are 4inch or 100mm square approximately.

The small feature tiles are 1.75inch or 45mm square approximately.

Dimensions for other tiles are given on the relevant page.

Because our tiles are handmade they will vary slightly in size.

How thick are the tiles?

The tiles have a base thickness of 9mm or 3/8th of an inch (although, because they are handmade, they will vary slightly). Click to see the side view of a tile.

Do you make other designs?

We make other tile designs and work which is not shown on the website (see the gallery for an idea of the range of our work). Please contact us for details.

Can you do special commissions?

We may be able to do special commissions, large or small. Please contact us to let us know what you would like.

Can I use the tiles on the floor?

Fruit & Vegetable and small feature tiles are not suitable for the floor because they are not flat.

Check tiles carefully prior to fixing as errors cannot be rectified after installation.

The tiles are handmade and will therefore vary.

All sizes are approx.imate.

The tiles should not be used where they will be subject to excessive wear.

On-screen colours are not exact matches.

Some glazes are intended to craze.

All tiles can be ordered separately or in sets.

Are online payments secure?

We use WorldPay for all our online and offline credit card processing. They are trusted worldwide.

What is a cornichon?

Good question. We found our cornichons in a market in France. In England you only get them pickled in jars and called gherkins (or wallys if they are big). We have compiled a list of alternative names for fruit and vegetables for those of you who are not familliar with the English names we use.
